ANNOUNCING DATES FOR RAYMOND JAMES 2009-10 BUCS SEASON
Brothers & Families...Start Planning Now! This NFL Football season schedule of BUCS Home Games includes only 9 total Games (Pre-Season and Regular Season).   Therefore, it’s going to be very important to do our best at each and every home game to make up for being one game short.   We found out last season that in order to run a more effective, profitable – and it turns out...much easier concession, we will need to field two more volunteers per game for a total of 14 VOLUNTEERS PER EVENT. This allows for four teams of two for each of the four cash points at our main beer wall which pulls in many more customers by spreading the workload, while increasing profits. The second Beer Portable requires four Volunteers.   Also note that by filling these positions we also provide ample opportunity for breaks across the volunteers so everyone who wishes to do so has an opportunity to see a little of the game as well as take breaks. REMEMBER THAT THIS IS OUR ONLY FUNDRAISING VENUE FOR THE COUNCIL. The money that funds our programs comes exclusively from this venue; therefore, EVERY MEMBER OF THE COUNCIL MUST MAKE AN EFFORT TO VOLUNTEER FOR AT LEAST ONE GAME.   Ask any Knight who's worked the Stadium...this is THE BEST event in which to meet and get to know your Brother Knights and Family members.   If we are fully staffed, although a full day, it will go by rather quickly.  We make great Tips – which comes from the great attitude and enthusiasm of all the volunteers – in fact, we get regulars who enjoy how much fun we have while doing something not for personal profit, but to fund programs and events which contribute to our performance of our first and founding principle – CHARITY!   So How Can You Help? – Start thinking about the games now (especially the pre-season games which are at odd days and hours) so that when the call goes out for volunteers – you are ready to make your mark!   We will be putting up an online sign up roster for this season very soon. It will include enough slots for 14 Volunteers plus a few ‘Back ups’ to account for any unforecasted shortfalls as the season progresses. Finally, if you are interested in being a Stand Manager (it’s not that difficult if even am able to do it) please let me know. I try to enlist those individuals to volunteer for the Pre-Season Games (which I will do both) to train anyone interested in running our stand. It would be great this season to have dedicated Stand Managers and volunteers for each of our Pre-Season and Regular Season Games by the end of July.   The games (listed below) are already posted on our Calendar online (www.kofc14084.org).   There you will see the sequence of events for the Sunday Games.

I cannot over-emphasize how the success of our fundraising program is directly tied to our ability to fully staff our venue, which works only if we plan well ahead.   If everyone volunteers for at least 2 games (more is fine) in our 9 game season, we will be well on the way to making this at least as successful as last year (minus Superbowl).   We’ve earned the confidence of the RJS staff and will be running Beer Wall 118 and the smaller Beer Portable 110.  The goal is to have 14 volunteers per game so that we can run 118 with (10) and 110 with (4).   Having fully manned booths is critical to earning an additional stadium bonus – and for us – it makes the workload much easier.   Please don’t ever assume we are covered – if we have extra volunteers, we will give a ‘bye’ to those in excess well ahead of show time.

BOTTOM LINE- MORE IS ALWAYS BETTER AND EASIER – FALLING BELOW 14 HURTS BADLY.

Fraternally
